You said, we did

We want to hear from our customers and take on board the comments that we receive.

Below are some of the things our customers have said to us, and the things that we did in reponse.

Feedback from our first Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) survey of January to April 2009, told us that a number of you felt that you had been ‘passed about’ when first reporting ASB complaints.

We did……

Following this we have changed the way we handle complaints. If your Neighbourhood Officer is away from SYHA for longer than five days, your complaint will be allocated to another officer who will handle your case from beginning to end. Following on from this, in our latest survey of July to September 2009, we received no feedback of this nature.

A few months ago, we were approached by one of our tenants from Mushroom Lane in Netherthorpe, Sheffield. It is 10 years since we built the properties on Mushroom Lane and St Stephens Walk and Jacqueline wanted to arrange a celebration event for the area; involving all of the local community, not just SYHA residents. The immediate local community is made up of approximately 60 Sheffield Homes properties, 30 for SYHA, and 17 for Places for People.

We did….

Rob Chapman and Coleen Carroll from our Housing Management Team worked with Jacqueline to help gain community grants from both SYHA and Sheffield Homes. They also helped arrange the day, with activities such as a bouncy castle and giant connect 4 favourites. The event took place at the end of September and was a great success. Not only does the estate have a good community spirit, it is an estate which proves that those from different tenures can live together in harmony. The party was an opportunity for the community to say ‘Thank you!’
