The Government has set a target to switch over to a completely digital TV service.
At SYHA we have some properties (usually flats) with communal aerials. So, as part of our improvement programme, we have started a rolling schedule to upgrade these properties to digital.
This will ensure that you continue to receive television programmes as part of the national switchover, when the analogue TV signal is turned off in our area in 2011.
Our contractor, Crystal Electronics Ltd will write to you before they begin installation work. They will need access to your home so that they can fit a new socket.
They will explain the new range of television programmes available to you, remove any existing dishes/aerials and connect your current equipment to the new system.
This only applies where there is a communal aerial. If your home has an individual aerial you will need to arrange the switch.
