You may already know about changes to the way you receive your care and support.
People with support needs are being given the choice and control of their own personal budgets, choosing where and how to spend it.
Personal budgets are the amount of money that local authorities give you to meet your social and / or care needs. With a personal budget you can choose to spend all or part of that money yourself, rather than the council arranging services for you. Before the council gives you the money to spend, you will need to have a support plan, showing exactly how you will use your personal budget.
Planning today, tomorrow and the rest of your life is a very big task. This is where Options can help you.
