Ending your tenancy

Ending your tenancy

When you have decided that you want to move out of your home you must do the following:

  • Give us at least four weeks notice that you want to leave.
  • Give us details of your new address.
  • Report any repairs that are needed on the property.
  • Allow our staff to enter the property to inspect it.
  • Provide access to prospective residents to view the property.
  • Remove any fittings and fixtures you have installed and make good any damage.
  • Leave all our furniture, fittings and installations in the property and replace or repair any broken items which belong to us.
  • Remove all your furniture and personal belongings from the property.
  • Remove all rubbish from inside and outside of the property.
  • Leave the property clean and tidy.
  • Make sure your rent account is clear on the day your tenancy ends and that you have paid any other charges you owe us.
  • Return all the keys you have for the property before 12 noon on the day your tenancy ends. If you fail to do this we will charge you one full weeks rent and the cost of replacing the keys and locks of the property.

We will charge you if we have to clean the property, dispose of any items you leave behind and may charge you for doing so, or if we have to carry out any repairs that are your responsibility.
