Alterations & improvements to your home

Before carrying out any works to your home it is advisable to contact us to see if written permission is required.

You must have written permisison for:

• Putting up any extension or building (including garden sheds)
• Putting up a television aerial or satellite dish
• Changing/replacing or adding to the fixtures/fittings and appliances SYHA have provided
• Altering essential services i.e gas, electric and water supplies
• Decorating the outside of your home
• Removing any internal walls
• Laying ceramic floor tiles/laminate or wooden flooring

If permission is granted for any of these works to be carried out then it is your responsibility to gain any planning or building regulation approvals.
