SYHA - Equal Opportunities and Diversity
We are working towards SYHA becoming an Organisation where:

  • People from all groups have equal access to our services and decision making processes and that minority communities are equally satisfied with the quality of service they receive

  • All groups are fairly represented on the Board of Management and at all employment levels within and across SYHA and that there is equal access to training and career development opportunities

Currently the number of people who work for the Association and the positions they hold within it do not reflect the mix of people within society. To redress this imbalance we will try to ensure that everyone is given the opportunity to apply for positions and, together with existing employees, to make progress within the Association.

To help us meet the above aims we have developed a three year Action Plan which covers all aspects of our work in this area. This plan is regularly monitored by our Board and updated to ensure that we are meeting our targets and our objectives. The plan has been circulated to our partners to seek their views and is available for anyone to view.
