Eligibility to Work In the UK
It is SYHA’s responsibility to ensure it checks the entitlement to work in the UK of every worker we employ, regardless of race, ethnic or national origin, colour or nationality.
Applicants applying for permanent posts within SYHA must be able to demonstrate that they are not subject to immigration control or has no restrictions on their stay in the UK.
Applicants will be required to produce an original document from List A.
Applicants who have been granted leave to remain in the UK for a limited period of time may still apply for temporary posts within SYHA, providing the temporary post does not exceed the amount of time they have remaining in the UK.
Applicants will be required to produce original documentation from List B and will be subject to checks every 12 months to ensure they are still eligible to work in the UK. When carrying out a repeat check an employee provided original documentation from List A no further checks will be necessary for the duration of their employment.
