South Yorkshire Housing Association is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees, service users, members of the public and any other persons affected by our activities. We develop clear policies and procedures by involving our safety committee, Unions and other relevant parties. Our aim to achieve a practical, user friendly safety culture throughout the Association.
As an extremely diverse organisation, we are constantly dealing with known and unseen risks on a daily basis. We use the experience and knowledge of our employees and partners to identify and control those risks to an acceptable level, whilst providing safe workplaces and practices.
We aim to be proactive in managing safety and to constantly invest in our service provision by providing training and awareness, along with the relevant equipment to carry out our tasks safely. This will enable us to continue to reduce accidents and incidents, encouraging credibility and ownership and help our staff work safely.
Our Directors and Management team are committed to ensure that health and safety standards are met within the Association. Our focus is to help managers to manage the health and safety risks effectively on a day to day basis. This will allow South Yorkshire Housing Association will meet all legal, moral and financial requirements placed upon us.
By ensuring that all required health and safety requirements are met, the Association can continue to protect all staff, clients and partners, enabling it to react and adapt to future challenging business requirements.
