SYHA Total Reward Statement

This total reward statement is designed to give you a better understanding of both the scope and value of your compensation and benefits received at SYHA.

Social Housing Pension Scheme - the SYHA contributes 12.5% of the employer’s gross salary/wage.

Confidential counselling service - subsidised counselling service for personal and work related issues.

Annual leave - 27 days paid annual leave (pro rata for part time staff).

Bank holidays - 12 days paid bank holidays (pro rata for part time staff).

Flexible Working – Is available for post holders within SYHA

Maternity and Adoption leave - up to 26 weeks leave at full pay (pensionable if you are in the SHPS).

Ante natal care - staff (either parent or partner) are entitled to reasonable time off, with pay, in order to attend ante natal care.

Paternity leave - up to two weeks leave which is paid at full pay if staff have 52 weeks service before the start of the leave.

Compassionate leave - up to 5 days paid compassionate leave.This is pro rata for part time staff.

Dependent leave - up to 5 days paid dependent leave in a 12 month period.This is pro rata for part time staff.

Training – training and development required to do the job.

Sick pay - 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay, first 2 years of employment 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay.

Essential car user allowance - lump sum paid and a competitive mileage rates.Car parking is provided by SYHA either in the Association’s car park or in a private car park.

Casual car user allowance - competitive mileage rates.Car parking is paid for by SYHA when casual car users need to bring their vehicles to work or use them for work related journeys.

Expenses – travel expenses, overnight stays, meal allowances, therapeutic meal allowance.

DSO – bonus, First Aid money, tool money.

Other ad hoc payments - On-call payments, sleeping in payments, out of bed payments.

Union recognition – Unite and Unison.
