Many of the younger people we work with have just left the care system. Others cannot stay with their parents due to a family breakdown, and others just need some safety and stability in their lives. Whatever the reason that people need our help, we’re here to offer a safe place to live and a caring staff team that will not only help to find a safe long-term home – but will help our young residents realise their potential.
Whether you’re the person who needs our help, or you know a young person who could benefit from speaking to us, the different places below might be just the place your looking for.
Askern Court & Satellites
Askern Court in Doncaster provides 6 flats for young people leaving care. Staff are on site 24 hours a day, and are on hand to help with virtually any individual need, from developing the skills to live independently through to building the confidence to gain education, training and employment.

“All the staff listen to me & do not judge us or our situations. My key worker, & all the staff at Askern Court, have been extremely helpful & understanding – I feel they provide an excellent service.” Siobhan, Doncaster
The Forge in Barnsley has been working closely – and successfully – with the council’s homeless department and their leaving care team since 1995. It was originally set up to meet the housing and support needs of young homeless people, and still continues to help people build the essential skills they need to live independently, like budgeting, cooking and living a healthy life.
