In March 2025, we announced our plans to join Places for People. Here’s the latest information about the partnership.
Partnership and communication timeline
- March 2025: We announced that we’d started partnership talks with Places for People on our website.
- July 2025: We sent a letter to customers to invite them to take part in a consultation about the partnership. We also answered some Frequently Asked Questions.
- 10 September 2025: Customer consultation closes.
- 24 September 2025: SYHA Board make a decision on whether to approve SYHA joining Places for People as a subsidiary.
- Autumn 2025: We will provide an update on the SYHA Board’s decision. We will contact you by letter and email, and share information on the website.
