Gas Servicing

As your landlord we need to carry out an annual gas service, together with an inspection of all pipework and appliances in your home.

We work with a company called Liberty to do this, and you must let the workers into your home so we can make sure that everything is safe. We normally make the appointments for Liberty to visit your home, but you can change the time or date if you need to. To do this, give us a ring on FREEPHONE 0800 1380 380.

If you can smell gas

If you smell gas, think you have a gas leak, or are worried about fumes which you suspect may be carbon monoxide, call Transco’s 24hr emergency number immediately on 0800 111 999.

Remember, if you can smell gas you must ring Transco immediately on 0800 111 999.

You should then:

  • Open all doors and windows to ventilate the property
  • Make sure you do not turn any naked electrical switches on or off
  • Extinguish all naked flames, and do not smoke, strike matches or do anything else which could cause the gas to ignite
  • Finally, if you have any electrical security entry phones or locks in your home, make sure these doors are opened manually
