Thanks for joining us to find out more about another significant year for South Yorkshire Housing Association.
2025 started with launching our new strategy and confirming our priorities for the next two years. It includes information about how we’re investing in homes and services, increasing customer engagement and involvement, and making improvements to ensure we’re performing well. It also confirms our aspirations to secure SYHA’s long-term future by partnering with another organisation, and earlier this year we were delighted to announce we had started merger talks with Places for People.
I hope you have been able to join us at a consultation event over the last few months. These events were an opportunity for you to share your questions and feedback about our proposed partnership with Places for People, and it was brilliant to meet and spend time with so many of you at 14 events across our communities.
Here are photos from some of the customer consultation events this summer. Thanks to everyone that joined us, and for your continued feedback and support.
Our Tenant Satisfaction Measures show that we are still performing really well (great to note that Overall satisfaction is in the upper quartile at 77%) but there is lots to learn from the results and we will use them to make important improvements. We also launched our new Customer Committee, who will help us to provide better homes and support across South Yorkshire. We are pleased to be offering more services for our customers and communities, including working with the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) to offer employment support through our WorkWell programme. You can find out more about these topics, as well as other updates from across SYHA, in the Annual Review.
This year, we also confirmed our organisation’s values: integrity, accountability, inclusion, impact and resilience. We hope they already feel familiar to you, and that you see and feel these values when you interact with SYHA. I can certainly see the values demonstrated throughout this Annual Review. As always, if you have any feedback about how we’re doing, please get in touch.
