Our Kickstart roles will create opportunities for young people to grow their experience and talents.

We have 13 Kickstart work placements across our organisation. The roles offer on-the-job training, a learning and development programme to develop new skills, and support to move into your next role after the placement is over.

Our Kickstart vacancies

Kickstart is a Government initiative which was introduced to help create new job opportunities. Funding is provided to employers to create high quality 6 month work placements for young people at risk of long-term unemployment.

Applicants for our Kickstart roles must be aged 16-24 years old, and claiming Universal Credit. You can apply for the roles through the DWP Universal Credit portal, and please speak to your work coach at the Job Centre to submit an application.

We believe that a diverse workforce is a better workforce, and we are committed to diversity and equality within our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from BAME communities, as candidates from these groups are underrepresented at South Yorkshire Housing Association.
