The Sheffield Changing Futures programme improves services for people experiencing multiple disadvantage, and believes that lived experience should inform and influence system change. Our Co-production and Peer Support Service is part of the Changing Futures programme and, alongside colleagues based at Sheffield City Council, we applied for Lived Experience Chartership via Career Matters.

The Lived Experience Chartership recognises organisations that are open and inclusive in their recruitment of people with lived experience. Some of our Changing Futures team collated the evidence for the chartership, and attended the awards ceremony in Birmingham.

We are very proud to share that the Sheffield Changing Futures programme was awarded gold!

“The Changing Futures team has a high proportion of employees with lived experience, and our recruitment processes have helped us to attract, recruit and develop brilliant people. We had not expected to get such high recognition on our first attempt at applying for the Lived Experience Chartership, and are absolutely thrilled with the result.”
