Training opportunities with Changing Futures are available and open to all frontline staff, volunteers, team leaders, managers, and any relevant partners working in multi-disadvantage support services in Sheffield.

A Changing Futures Introductory Approach to Co-production in Practice

Monday 4th August 10am-4pm – in person at South Yorkshire Housing Association

The overall aims of this training are:

  • To help associated services across Sheffield develop a consistent understanding of what co-production is and why it’s such a beneficial approach to improving the way that systems & services work to support individuals facing multiple disadvantage.
  • Over the course of the day we will look to equip you with the knowledge of what co-production looks like day to day, demonstrating it’s effectiveness not just through theory but in practice. This will help you to create a culture of “working with” the people your service intends to serve rather than “doing to” them.
  • It’s not just about the training on the day itself either. We will also provide you with the tools, resources and support to help you overcome ongoing challenges as well as embed co-production as a normal way of working towards reaching better outcomes and a more wide-reaching impact for everyone involved.

The overall aims of this training are:

  • To model good practice
  • To inspire change and new ways of working

The training will include:

  • Models of co-production and the process of change
  • What does ‘gold standard’ co-production look like in practice
  • A range of co-production tools and activities
  • Mapping the core elements of co-production with examples of local good practice
  • Reviewing core assets and audiences
  • A co-production case study
  • A live Q&A with lived experience associates
