Join our Scrutiny Panel

Our Scrutiny Panel is a group of customer volunteers who meet regularly online to explore and improve different areas of our organisation.

They work with us to give us valuable insights, offer recommendations, and challenge the way things are done.

Benefits of being part of the Scrutiny Panel include…

  • It’s a great opportunity to meet new people – as well as meeting regularly we also host a thankyou meal twice a year
  • We offer rewards for completing scrutiny exercises
  • You can access support and training opportunities, and we can loan you a laptop or tablet, too.

The panel’s most recent exercise was to understand how we deal with Anti-Social Behaviour and review the process.

The panel want to ensure customers have the right level of support during, what is often, a difficult and stressful time and work towards improving customer satisfaction with how ASB is handled.

The panel previously did a piece of work on our website. More information on this and other pieces of work can be found in the documents below.

Our Customer Scrutiny Panel’s work

The panel produces a report about the area they have scrutinised. This is shared with the Head of Service, who produces an action plan based on the recommendations in the report. The panel will also monitor the progress of previous exercises.

You can take a look at reports and action plans here:

Members of our Customer Scrutiny Panel talk about their role.

“I didn’t know where I was going in my career, and I didn’t know what skills I had. It’s been a big confidence builder – I’ve come a long way!”

“I want to use my spare time to help people and use my ideas to do something about the issues people are facing. It’s my contribution to life.”
